Councilwoman Lorie Zapf is taking on her district’s challenges to improve San Diego’s beaches, parks and other free public services and amenities.

Zapf joined the podcast this week and said her passion to improve those type of resources developed out of her poor upbringing. She said she plans to better children’s parks, workforce training, libraries and the veteran homelessness crisis in San Diego while she’s in office.

Also on the show, co-hosts Scott Lewis and Andrew Keatts bemoan the seemingly never-ending Chargers relocation drama and discuss Dean Spanos’ disappointment over the remaining options, which actually sound like pretty sweet scenarios if you ask Lewis.
