A notorious San Diego leader re-emerged this week. Obviously, we’re talking about VOSD managing editor Sara Libby, who co-hosted the podcast this week with Andy Keatts.

And OK, fine, we’re also talking about former Mayor Bob Filner, who gave his first big interview this week since leaving the office in disgrace. Filner reached out to Voice of San Diego to talk about veteran homelessness but also discussed the Chargers, and insisted that he never sexually harassed anyone.

VOSD’s Ry Rivard also joined to talk about his story on the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, which is trying to build a massive fish farm off the San Diego coast but has run into serious fish breeding issues and is now undergoing a state audit.

The three also touched on the new community plan for North Park and the pushback from residents who don’t want increases in density.
