There’s nothing worse than needing a restroom and not being able to find one.
On this edition of the podcast, Scott Lewis returns and shares his thoughts on San Diego city leaders’ decision to close public restrooms in Mission Bay.
Finally, we talk about a rushed charter reform effort in Chula Vista backed by a major labor union. The proposed measure would extend council term limits and increase council members’ salaries to more than $110,000.
Here’s what Lewis had to say, edited for length and clarity.
[33:05] “…pay raises for City Council members … they’ll go up to $110,000 a year. But they also still stipulate that it’s not a full time job. So they can have another full time job, which many of them do. Because usually if you’re a full time city councilmember somewhere, you’re not allowed to have another job. They’d still be allowed to be in whatever career they’re in.”
