This morning, we explained the key issues in the court case that sought to temporarily halt Walmart construction in Sherman Heights.

Now, the judge has ruled in the case. The winner: Walmart. The judge disagreed with activists on both their arguments — that the building was historic and that it was being demolished. “[T]he building’s façade will in fact be preserved, restored, and enhanced once the construction process is completed,” Judge Joel Pressman wrote in his ruling.
