Wednesday, June 7, 2006 | Thank you to Elie Shneour for the cogent article on the “War on Weed.” I am so tired of “wars” on abstractions – the “War on Poverty,” the “War on Drugs,” and now the “War on Terror.” They are all unwinnable, because nobody can be forced to sign a treaty ending them.
I believe that the absolute prohibition against cannabis, in particular, is insane. Truly, this herb is both life-giving and life-saving. The draconian prohibition against it is insane.
