Monday, June 12, 2006 | Re: “Goldborough’s Column Offensive,” Letters to the Editor. Mr. Goldsborough asks the tough question about the American indifference to the carnage inflicted each day in Iraq. Mr. Merikken’s reply is the answer to Mr. Goldsborough’s question.
Any questioning of American Domestic or Foreign policy means you must hate America, the military and the American way. Mr. Merriken does not want to debate. He only wants to vilify anyone who questions his beliefs. Most Americans do not want to be vilified, so they turn their back to the tough questions. Brave men like Mr. Goldsborough helped make America great. I suggest that if Mr. Merriken hates Americans of conscience so much, he should move to Germany and take his brown shirts with him.
