Wednesday, June 21, 2006 | And just why did those 45,000 Democrats neglect to vote in the Congressional race? Certainly many of them did not bother to vote at all, and others who voted for state-wide offices defaulted to others on who their representative would be in the House.

People vote when they see it being in their interest to do so. Democrats still fail to define what a campaign is about as do the Republicans.

Everyone knew that Bilbray was all about immigration, with “the cross” a secondary concern.

As for Busby, ask the “man on the street” what her message was, and the answer won’t be as clear.

Democrats need to assert what we stand for and say it emphatically and ad nauseum. Failure to do so means that once again, the GOP defines our nominees.
