Share your thoughts on San Diego’s growing community of Burmese refugees.

I’d like to know more about San Diego’s new but growing community of Burmese refugees.

I first learned about the community several weeks ago during a conversation with Bob Montgomery, director of the local office of the International Rescue Committee, which resettles refugees around the world.

He told me Burmese refugees were the second-fastest growing community of refugees in San Diego, after Iraqis. That was news to me, and now I’d like to look into it.

Have any suggestions on who I should talk to? Have particular insight on Burmese resettlement in San Diego?
