I went back and forth yesterday trying to select a photo of ten-year-old Taka Baw for Adrian Florido’s story about refugees from Burma. It came down to two images — the photo above and the photo that ran with the story.

The photo that ran with the story wasn’t, at least in my mind, as technically strong. However, I thought it was a more storytelling image because it showed the interaction between the tutor and the student.
