Last week we held a conversation between Qualcomm co-founder Dr. Irwin Jacobs and entrepreneur Bill Stensrud (a voiceofsandiego board member), with our CEO Scott Lewis hosting.
The event overall was pleasant and wide-ranging, covering topics such as technology in education and what mindset investment and innovation require.
At the end there was an interesting moment of friction when it became clear that the two men had differing opinions on whether we need net neutrality. Since those thoughts were only briefly expressed, it might be unfair to try to represent their views here, so we’ll be hosting opinions on that subject in these pages soon. If you’d like contribute, drop me a line.
We’ll post the video for you to enjoy when we have it (UCSD-TV shot it — thanks!), but in the meantime, we’ve got a few pictures of the event taken by our photographer Sam Hodgson.
