Friday, KPBS’s Editor’s Roundtable featured voiceofsandiego.org CEO Scott Lewis, Michael Smolens, government editor for the San Diego Union-Tribune, and David Rolland, editor of San Diego CityBeat.

On the agenda: California’s budget problems and the potential for new state revenue.

Scott Lewis, speaking about state Republicans’ attempts to block the governor’s plans:

If you are going to keep opposing these alternatives that have been comprehensively laid out by the Democrats and the governor and then you are still going to oppose things like cuts to redevelopment and what not. What is your plan? Are you really against government spending or just the kind that goes to your friends?

For the rest, download the audio here, read the early transcript or listen on KPBS’s site.

Update: Here are the other segments from the show: new regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries and the City Council’s aggressiveness on budget discussions.
