Kevin Faulconer was sworn in as mayor Monday at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation in Encanto.

Members of City Council and city administration, along with Faulconer’s pick for new police chief, looked on during the proceedings, which began with the Mount Erie Baptist Church Choir’s rendition of the national anthem. After taking the oath of office, Faulconer gave his first official speech as mayor.
