Thousands of San Diegans this week got to see the Rolling Stones play Petco Park.

Not so many got a chance to catch them at the private charity gig they played at Solana Beach’s Belly Up Tavern.

KPRi host Chris Cantore found his way into the gig, and he joined the podcast this week to talk about it. He also broke down some of the best shows he’s seen in the area, including some especially memorable shows over the border at Iguanas.

We also  went over Scott Lewis’ standoff with City Attorney Jan Goldsmith over his memo to the Chargers and Mayor Kevin Faulconer, how San Diego’s growth patterns fundamentally changed after the Cold War, why we’re going to pay for expensive drinking water pulled from the sea even while we store cheaper water and watch it evaporate into the sky, and as always, name our hero and goat of the week.
