Podcast co-hosts Scott Lewis and Andrew Keatts get heavy into the wonk this week.

The pair was joined in studio by a panel of guests representing business and environmentalists for a special deep dive into San Diego’s recently adopted Climate Action Plan, a bundle of policies meant to cut the city’s carbon footprint nearly in half by 2035.

Monique López from the Environmental Health Coalition, Nicole Capretz of the Climate Action Campaign, David Gatzke from Community HousingWorks and Sean Kerafin with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce shared their thoughts on the historic commitment, which lays out a plan to transition to 100 percent clean energy and dramatically change the way we commute in coming decades.

After some brief banter about “Star Wars,” the whole show is dedicated to going deep into the weeds on the promises and potential problems with the ambitious plan.
