Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 | Agree or disagree? Convoluted actions to pay government retirees not only more than they deserve but more than is allowed by the IRS; clear attempts to hide these actions from the public, including less than truthful answers from ‘public servants;’ how can anyone agree with any of this?! Government has become expert at making their actions so complicated that the average citizen quickly falls behind in following their chicanery, and loses interest.

Then they wonder why we don’t trust them, and approve new taxes, which in fact are sorely needed, but for real and pressing needs such as infrastructure maintenance and improvement. It’s very simple: Do the right thing, then there is nothing to hide. Anything less is simply dishonest and simply acts of feathering their own nests with our money.

We have met the enemy, and it’s us, for giving up and putting up with it. God only knows what they would be doing if not for Donna Frye’s persistence and refusal to be mislead.
