A quick heads-up: Today we begin a series of in-depth articles profiling the legal careers of the five candidates for San Diego city attorney. The articles will explore the professional triumphs and pratfalls of the lawyers vying to control the city of San Diego’s legal affairs and speak to those who were involved, as friend or foe, in the important moments of each candidate’s career.

The goal: Understanding the legal prowess and leadership skills of those who would be San Diego’s city attorney.

Check out the first piece by Will Carless today exploring the career of City Councilman Scott Peters, and send us an e-mail if you know anything important about the careers of any of the candidates.

The stories will run occasionally leading up to the June 3 primary.
