I just got a haircut and mentioned to my hairdresser, Lisa Toth, that I spent an afternoon last week photographing shear sharpener Nick Cutter for this installment of People at Work and the audio slideshow I’ve embedded below.
Toth tells me that Cutter has sharpened her shears for the last 18 years.
“I never let anyone else touch my shears,” she said. “Ever.”
