Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 | What really galls me about the Union-Tribune is the clash of images between wealthy owner David Copley hobnobbing with the rich and famous on the society pages, and the sad stories of the poor U-T constantly having to cut back, lay off and generally wring as much blood out of the turnip as possible. I’m waiting for Copley to finally get a job, sell the jet and run a picture in the U-T of him volunteering at a local homeless shelter. Until I find him moving to the middle class, I’ll have no sympathy for the U-T.
