Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 | I saw something very unique in USA Today yesterday. It’s not unique that most cities are in fiscal trouble. However, in Springfield, Mass. the mayor has got the right idea and attitude. While cutting programs and employee pay cuts he realized that the dept. heads and he himself are employees. He is going to cut his own pay along with that of the department heads. What a concept.

I would like to see Mayor Jerry Sanders and Gov. Schwarzeneggar put that in writing. Instead, take it out on the guy who makes less than $20 an hour. Real smart. Tax the broke people too, makes sense to me. Sort of like getting water from a rock.
