If you haven’t already read Kelly Bennett‘s latest installment of People at Work, take a look. The article profiles Balboa Park horticulturist Crystal Ritchie and features interesting background on the management of the park and the plants that make it such a unique place.

Shooting the story allowed me to get out of the office and spend Friday morning in the park’s botanical building. I know — tough gig, right?

I don’t know what you call this flower below, but the colors were too amazing not to share. Can anyone help me out with the correct name?
