“A vote for anyone other than Steve Francis is a vote for the status quo.”

That’s my mantra this election and on until November if necessary. The status quo is just not acceptable anymore.

The city of San Diego has not moved forward, it’s stagnated or at best moved slowly where Mayor Sanders had promised otherwise.

I don’t want continued inaction, closed doors to the public, major hassles and delays in getting public information, withheld or delayed information, hidden deals for developers and contributors, special privileges to downtown interests, packed boards and commissions with special interests, etc., etc., etc. And by the way, the environment is not a special interest; it is a common interest for everyone. We all need clean water, clean air and a way to connect to our natural world.

I want solutions, I want openness in City Hall and I want a vision for San Diego.

I want innovative solutions to the problems that the citizens of San Diego have to deal with. Not the problems of special interests and downtown big business. I want solutions to preserve the environment, stem global warming, promote small businesses, provide real public transportation, protect our local neighborhoods, ensure our libraries are open and save our local parks from encroaching development, bridges and roads.

San Diego needs different leadership. There is a better way of doing this.

Steve Francis offers an alternative.
