I just received a copy of a letter from Walt Pennington, a reader who lives in county Supervisor Greg Cox’s district. Pennington isn’t happy with the county’s decision to keep secret an investigation into a program it runs that provides wheelchairs and other medical equipment to children with disabilities.

Here’s the letter:

I just called Pennington. He said he hardly ever writes to elected officials but that the county’s repeated refusal to provide a copy of the report to the public or to explain the reasons it has for keeping the report a secret irked him so much that he had to write in.

“When there is something I see that can be made right by someone or a few people, I have to take notice,” Pennington said.

Have you written a letter or an e-mail to your county supervisor about this? If so, send it over, I’d be interested to read it.
